Computing

Intent and Rationale

Computing is increasing in importance in our everyday lives and is becoming a fundamental requirement in the workplace and at home.

Our intent at the Mandeville School is to prepare our students to participate confidently in an increasingly technological world and equip them with the necessary computing skills required to live in the 21st century.

We aim to empower our pupils to solve problems and develop logical thinking. We strive to create resilient and successful learners. We offer our students a range of opportunities to challenge themselves through a high quality curriculum, clubs, trips, workshops and participation in national computing events.

We are proud to align our KS3 Computing curriculum with the nationally renowned ‘Teach Computing curriculum learning journey’ which builds progression from KS1 all the way through to KS4.
